The focus for Arsenal this past window was to balance the squad. As usual, Arsenal had a very strict budget to operate with.

Arteta only made key signings. Nothing more nothing less. His focus was to bring in quality players that can provide the necessary depth to the squad.

Next season we have players who’s contracts will be up and some who are simply not good enough that need to be moved on. Arteta will have his first major transfer window next season.

Here’s a list of all of Arteta and Edu incoming transfers this season:

Pablo Mari – Highly rated left footed center back adding defensive depth to the squad.

Cedric Soares – Back up right back and Bellerin competition brought in to strengthen the right vulnerable right back position.

Willian – Experienced attacker adding quality depth and competition to the likes of Pepe.

Gabriel – Very young solid defender adding a lot of quality in defense and giving competition to left footed center half Pablo Mari.

Ceballos – Ball carrying midfielder, can play as a 6, 8 or 10 adding midfield depth and creativity to the team .

Alex Runarsson – Brought in to replace Martinez as Leno’s number 2. His quality is very unknown but we believe he can step up in the Cup games to rest Leno.

Thomas Partey – The return of Patrick Vieira. The signing that completes it. This is what we have been missing in midfield for a very long time.

On top of all that the duo also managed to sign Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and club captain Aubameyang to new long term contracts.
