We are back in FA Cup action. It’s going to be a very difficult game for us, very difficult to predict as well.

Southampton are on good form and are playing very well lately so we have to field a strong team. It’s a bit difficult for us to do that because we need to rest some of our first team players. The likes of Leno, Tierney, Saka, Smith Rowe, Lacazette and Aubameyang have been heavily involved and would need to be rested. But we can’t afford to rest all of them, we have seen what happened the other day against Crystal Palace when Tierney was absent. The likes of Nelson, Willian, Willock, Maitland-Niles and Pepe are not putting in the performance. This creates a rotation problem because the manager wants to win the game and will be forced to use players that he trust.

The main concern is Leno, it doesn’t look like Arteta trust Runarsson anymore after that Man City game. We need to rest him so that means Maty Ryan could be banded his debut tomorrow.

STARTING 11

GK:

I have a feeling that Maty Ryan will start in goal tomorrow. He’s been training with Brighton and he’s fit so there should be no problem with him getting in straight away.

DF:

Bellerin will come in at right back and Cedric will move over to the left back to deputize Tierney. We might see a centerback pairing of Gabriel and Luiz.

MF:

We need to be a little bit stronger in midfield so I’m thinking if Ceballos is not fit to partner Elneny then Xhaka will get in. Willock could feature in the number 10 role if Arteta does not go with Willian. This will give Smith Rowe a necessary rest.

FW:

The attacking three will be Pepe on the left, Martinelli on the right and Nketiah through the middle. Nelson could feature from the bench, he need to build match fitness.
