I know one of our biggest priority currently is at right back and potentially at central midfield. A striker has also been mentioned which makes it 3 signings still to be made before or on deadline day. But I’m with the opinion that if we can keep both Aubameyang and Lacazette, supported by Balogun and Martinelli, we should shift our priority in attack to a left winger.

Arsenal will lose Willian and Nelson could leave on loan this summer, that will leave us with only 3 natural wingers in Martinelli, Pepe and Saka. Although we have Smith Rowe and Aubameyang who can also play out wide. It make a lot sense to add another attacking player to the roster.

We need a more senior experienced winger who plays predominantly on the left to add to the goals and assists. The reason for that is that we rely on very young players in that position. Martinelli, Nelson, Smith Rowe and sometimes Saka. With Willian leaving this summer, we will only have Pepe as senior winger at the club, and we all know that Pepe is not always firing.

It will be good to get in someone to share those responsibilities and take the pressure off the young players. Signing a winger will increase our depth in attack:

LW: New winger, Martnelli, SR
RW: Saka, Pepe
CAM: ESR, Odegaard
CF: Auba, Laca, Balogun

Who should we target?

Arsenal were linked to Sterling earlier on in the summer. Manchester City want to move some of their players on, plus Pep Guardiola want to revamp his attack. Grealish plays mostly in Sterling’s position so I wont be surprised if he welcomes the idea of leaving City this summer. On the other hand, Arteta want to add Premier League experience quality to his attack. If you think bout it, Arsenal should try and push to sign him if such an opportunity comes.

Sterling will give us the balance as he plays on the right sid that we desparatly need to upgrade. He is 26 and is almost in his prime time. All he need is a new challenge. He has done it all at City just shy off a UCL medal. But there’s still a player left in him. It will be good business if we sign him.
