The fact that we don’t have European football suggest that we should stay alive in the Caraboa Cup and of course the FA Cup when the rounds begin.

With that said we have to go out tomorrow and win the game. There’s should be no excuse not to. Now the team selection has to be mindful and we could see Arteta resting some of our most important players to protect them from injury and to preserve some energy for the big game on the weekend against City.

There’s been good news regarding Lacazette and Gabriel. But Gabriel is probably not ready to be involved yet. Lacazette could make an appearance from the bench.

Potential lineup:

GK:
Ramsdale is expected to make his debut in goal in place of Bernd Leno. Arsenal will probably have to loan out one of Karl Hein and Arthur Okonkwo.

DF:
I’m expecting Tierney to be rested for Nuno Tavares at left back. Holding could also be rested for Chambers. Cedric and Mari will keep their places.

MF:
I’m expecting both Xhaka and Lokonga to be rested. They are currently our first choice and we need to protect them. Elneny and Maitland-Niles will get a chance to play in midfield. Martin Odegaard is also expected to feature for the first time this season in place of Smith Rowe in the number 10 role.

FW:
Aubameyang should start as the number 9 with Saka and Martinelli supporting him from the wide areas. Nelson and Balogun are expected to make an appearance from the bench. Pepe deserve to be rested.
