The way we played last night proved that technically and tactically we will dominate a lot of games this season. It also prove that our philosophy is clear now. Gone are the days when a game start and you won’t know what to expect from the team. We just need to sort the depth issue and we will be fine for the remainder of the season.

It was disappointing that we did not win the game but we played with authority, which shows why we are topping the table. Our quality and how we want to approach the game did not drop. Newcastle are a good side as well, they have an elite manager too in Howe, very solid defensively and very well drilled team, that’s why we struggled to break them down. I think the fact that we couldn’t influence the game offensively from the bench also cost us at the end.

The positive take away from this game is Arteta’s passion. He wants to win, you can see how annoyed he gets when decisions go against him. That right there is my manager. We have in Arteta a potential title challenging manager every season. He has elite mentality and passion and knowledge of the game. He understand what he wants from his players and his football is also good.

This project under under Arteta has been taking baby steps but we are finally getting to the stage where we will add real quality and have a complete squad with game changing depth. Disappointed but the future is bright at Arsenal!
